Hi, I’m Anya. I’m a Registered Psychologist in Calgary, offering individual therapy for adults using a gentle, trauma-aware and relational approach. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and pacing—supporting you in getting to know yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism, trauma, and patterns that feel hard to shift. Together, we move slowly and thoughtfully, paying attention to your nervous system, your emotions, and the parts of you that have learned to cope in the best way they could.
I know that beginning therapy can take a great deal of courage. My aim is to create a space that feels steady, non-judgmental, and respectful of your pace—a place where you can explore what’s happening inside without pressure or shame.
All parts of you are welcome here. My focus is on helping you build a kinder, more connected relationship with yourself, so that change feels possible from the inside out.
After years of supporting clients, I wanted to create a practice that felt steady, genuine, and aligned with how I show up in the therapy room. Connect Heal Grow Psychology grew from that intention—a space where people can slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way.
Your history and nervous system matter. We move gently and with care, creating space for whatever needs attention without pushing or rushing your process..
We explore the different emotions, thoughts, and reactions that show up inside—approaching them with curiosity and respect, so you can understand your inner world with more clarity and kindness..
By paying attention to your body’s signals—like breath, tension, or softening—we support your nervous system in feeling more grounded and present as you explore what’s happening inside.
I’m Anya Stang, a Registered Psychologist who understands that life can feel heavy at times. My work is trauma-informed and IFS-based, and I bring a calm, steady presence to every session. My hope is to offer a place where you feel safe enough to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or overwhelmed.
Outside of the therapy room, nature is where I find my own grounding. When life feels full or tender, being in the mountains with my family and our Bernedoodle, Lottie, brings me a sense of ease and perspective. Hiking, biking, or simply breathing in the quiet—I return to these places often for solace and connection.

Founder and Psychologist
You deserve a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. In our work together, we move at a pace that honours your nervous system and the experiences you’ve carried. I bring a warm, attentive presence to each session, helping you explore your inner world with curiosity rather than judgment. My focus is on supporting you in finding more clarity, ease, and connection within yourself—one gentle step at a time.
I offer trauma-informed therapy that recognizes how past experiences shape both the mind and body. I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, and long-standing patterns that feel hard to shift. Our sessions move at your pace, helping you understand your inner experiences and creating space for grounding, clarity, and meaningful change.
Oftentimes when we are struggling whether it is with anxiety, depression or trauma there can be a real disconnect from our bodies and a felt experience of being stuck. Nature can provide a calming and rich backdrop to explore your experience and bring your awareness into the present moment. The rhythmic movement of walking cultivates a deeper connection between mind and body.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help you heal the different parts of yourself. This method offers a compassionate framework to resolve inner conflicts, promote self-acceptance, and boost your overall well-being.
At Connect Heal Grow Psychology, I believe in making mental health care accessible. I strive to ensure that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of your well-being. That’s why I offer sliding scale fees to a limited number of clients. If you are in need, please reach out to discuss my current availability for sliding scale clients.
Helping you build deeper connections, heal from trauma, and foster personal growth in a safe, welcoming space.
