A place to find clarity about starting therapy – and where to turn if you need urgent, immediate support.
This space is here to help you understand your therapy options and find the right supports when things feel overwhelming. While I’m not able to provide emergency services, you’ll find crisis resources here, along with answers to common therapy questions, so you can access the care that fits your needs.
I consider it crucial that from our initial encounter, we begin forging a bond for our therapeutic journey. We’ll delve into your past Counselling experiences—identifying what was beneficial and aspects you’re hoping to modify.
My role will involve facilitating our conversation to deepen my understanding of you and your network of support and love. We will talk about your hope for the Counselling process and the ways I can assist you.
I provide individual counselling, and walk-and-talk therapy. Individual sessions are offered in-person or online.
My areas of focus are different doorways into the same core work—supporting adults whose nervous systems learned to survive in difficult or uncertain conditions. What looks like trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism, or relationship struggles often grows from the same place: a system that had to stay alert, adapt, or hide in order to be safe. These pages simply offer different ways you might recognize yourself. You don’t need to know where you “fit.” Together, we listen for what feels most alive or tender right now and begin there. Therapy is shaped around you, not a category.
Research has shown that virtual sessions can be just as effective as in-person therapy. Online therapy offers flexibility and convenience when attending in person isn’t possible, and for many people it feels more accessible and comfortable. The choice is always yours. For virtual sessions to be most supportive, you’ll need a private, quiet space and access to a camera so we can see one another. I do not offer phone counselling, as being able to notice visual cues and subtle shifts is an important part of creating safety and connection in the work.
A dedicated hour of uninterrupted time in a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.
My rate is $235 for a 60-minute session. I understand that financial situations can vary, so I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to make therapy more accessible. While this option is based on financial need, please note that it is not guaranteed for everyone and depends on my current availability for sliding scale clients. If you’re interested, we can discuss this further during our consultation to explore what might be possible.
At this time, I offer direct billing for Alberta Blue Cross. For all other insurance providers, payment is made at the time of your session and a detailed receipt is provided for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
My preferred form of payment is by e-transfer. I also accept credit card payments with a 3% service fee.
Booking an appointment is easy! You can call me directly or use my online booking system. Visit the contact page for more details.
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48
hours’ notice so that the time can be made available to another client.
Because each appointment is set aside specifically for one person, late cancellations or missed sessions cannot
easily be filled on short notice. When this happens, it leaves a space in the schedule that another client in need could
have used.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged half of the session fee. Cancellations made with
less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments without notice, will be charged the full session fee.
My practice is conveniently located at 1700 Varsity Estates Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta. I also offer online therapy for clients throughout Alberta.
