Frequently Asked Questions About Nature-Integrated Therapy In Calgary

Walk-and-talk therapy may not be suitable for everyone. If you think you are interested in or may benefit from walk-and-talk sessions, please reach out, and we can discuss in depth whether this therapy is suitable for you. Walk-and-talk therapy is not suitable for couples.
All clients must first have an in-person office session prior to their first walk-and-talk session. There are special consent forms to complete, and we will spend some time getting to know one another before embarking on our first walk-and-talk session.
This is something we will discuss together. Most walk and talk sessions will take place in the community of Varsity Estates. We may also discuss other natural environments around Calgary.
Although we will utilize movement in the therapy hour during a walk-and-talk session, the focus will not be on exercise. It is important to note that you will be taking full responsibility for your medical and physical health and will let me know if we need to adjust the pace or if you need to stop.
Although I will do everything I can to ensure confidentiality, being in a public setting does limit the confidentiality of the session. Others may hear parts of our conversation, or we may run into people we know. We will discuss how to navigate these situations prior to our first outdoor session. You are able to return to the office at any time during the session and continue the session.
My nature-integrated Counselling in Calgary is suitable for anyone looking to explore alternative therapeutic methods. It’s especially beneficial if you enjoy being outdoors and want to incorporate a more holistic and physically engaging element into your therapy sessions.
If the weather does not cooperate, we will move indoors for our session.
I offer a sliding scale fee structure, adjusting the cost of therapy based on your financial situation. This makes nature-integrated Counselling in Calgary more accessible, ensuring that financial constraints don’t hinder your access to care.
